Basically i've been working full time and studying at university for the past few years, before then i was crazy about making flash, made as many as i could in as little time possible. I finally want to get back into that routine, i love making flash, so i've begun a new project.
I had a load of ideas and drawing styles i wanted to try out. I scrapped so many projects just trying to find something i liked, i finally got there though. I have to admit that the work of 'Raz' (NG user) inspired me to develop the style of drawing in Floor 55, and i think it's worked really well.
What i wanted was to experiment with light and reflective surfaces, pretty much all of the animation is in masked layers, i just wanted to go into new areas and try things i hadn't done before.
I can't wait to start some new projects because working on this one has been so fun, it's kept me going while i've been dieing of old age at work.
Some 'American Physco' movie fans might notice some of the lines are also in 'Floor 55', i did borrow a few lines, or should i say; inspired by the film. The character is loosely based on Patrick Batemen, from the mentioned film and i really wanted to make a short story about a character like that, not so much of a good guy, but just some crazy guy.
Anyway, The flash will be completed pretty soon, i might make another news post when i submit it, or i might just keep this, who knows. Keep your eyes peeled.

I'm about a almost 1/4 through it, hah. So far its really good. Its starting to get good. I just read through the scene where Batemen's in that weird night club. And he goes up to the counter but they're not accepting tickets anymore because its too late and he says "Your a fucking ugly bitch i want to stab you and play around in your blood."

My friend keeps telling me i really need to see that movie. It is really good?? The book and movie?
You definatly need to see it! Its such a dark humour film, a lot of people dont like it and it doesn't get shown on TV mainly because of that reason, but it makes it so much better.
Thats the night club where the woman asks what he does as a job right? and he says 'murders and executions'. and she thinks he said 'murgers and aquisitions'

Niceeee, when this is out, you should let me know. I'm a really really big "American psycho fan". So I'd definitely be interested in this! I'm reading the book right now!
Ohh wow, what's the book like? I'd love to read that if i had the time, i keep buying books that have been made into movies. Reading 'No country for old men' at the moment.

Speaking of your sister, does she do voice stuff? There's actually only one other speaking role in the film, it's one word, and i need a female voice.. ;D

Cool! I was thinking of making a b/w serious-ish short called London Psycho kind of based on American Psycho but I'm busy on something else at the moment.
I just thought London would be a better backdrop as it's a complete shit-hole and the English accent is far more sinister sounding.
Maybe I'll go back to the idea at a later date?
I'll be looking out Floor 55!
That sounds interesting, you should work on that when your done with your current project, would be cool to see.
